On my Thai Food website I have a link that said, "Email Marketing with SysIO". It went to the SysIO sign up page. I never got a single click. I know because I track. It wasn't a problem with the target page, it was that the link was never clicked.
When I saw I was getting zero Clicks on that specific link, I thought about it, and knew what needed to change. I changed the text on the link. I changed it to, "How the Food Service Industry Uses Email Marketing."
This spoke clearly to my audience.
I got TONS of clicks. In the first 24 hours I got 42 click throughs. But I got zero sign ups. Now what is the problem? I looked at the target location and changed the target link from the SysIO home page to the SysIO Features page. Click those links and see the difference.
Now I continued to get click throughs but I was also getting sign ups. Seven new sign ups in the first week. Since then about 4 to 6 sign ups a month.
My Audience has many bloggers, many restaurants, and many YouTubers. They were interested in connecting email to their existing work efforts. The features page showed them that SysIO can do that. Integrate their work with their email marketing.
You see how I followed the footprints? Now I know it works and produces quality results I need to get more visitors to the landing page. The more I get, THE MORE I GET.
