Safelists and How to Make Them Work For You

1. Safelist are Free to Get Started
A big advantage of most safelists is that they are completely free to get started. You can join the safelist for free and start getting visitors without using any money.
I actually advise that in most cases you should not sped money. Never buy safelists with a monthly subscription. Most safelist are sending your ads to 1000 to 5000 people in short order your are reaching all those people free. Paid subscriptions are too expensive for such a small audience.
The only time I pay is if a one time payment gives me a lifetime upgrade. For example, my favorite list is Herculist which has over 346,000 members at this time. As a free member I can mail 1000 random members a day. Upgrade to Gold (one time payment) and I can email all the members every day. That's Worth it.
With a free use safelist, you trade your time for traffic, not your money. You receive email ads from other members on the list. You click the links in the ad to visit their sites and you earn Mailing Credits.
You then use your Mailing Credits and send out your email to get visitors for your site.

I am a free member and from this site alone I get an average of 60 visitors a day. I email 5000 a day as a free member. Do not upgrade. The free option works great.
There are hundreds of free safelist sites that you can join. The more that you join and use regularly, the more traffic you will receive. Each email you send from a safelist might bring anywhere from 2 visitors to 50 visitors to your site, depending on the safelists you are using. If you are sending emails from 50 sites a day, then you can be getting over 1,000 visitors a day. I have some affiliates who routinely get 3,000 – 4,000 visitors daily from their safelist marketing. That is happening 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
Safelists can scale up considerably before you have to start paying for traffic.
3. Safelists Reach the Ideal Audience for Business Opportunities
The most common misconception about safelists is that those who are visiting your site are not really interested in what you are promoting. It is said, people are just clicking for credits and not paying attention to your site. This is completely false.
Who are the people you are looking for? Well you are looking for people who want to start an online business and who need your help, your services. Most people on Safelists are Trying To Earn online. This is the IDEAL person to see your ad. They need your help. They need EVERYTHING that you can give them to become successful.
It is much better to connect with someone who is just starting out and looking for guidance. They are not heavily invested in their own business opportunity program yet, so they are open to hear about yours.
They too need to generate traffic, so they need to get your advice on what programs and strategies you use. As they grow their businesses, they need lots of things and you can be their guide to recommend your programs and your products.
If you use safelists CORRECTLY, then you can leverage all that quickly available free traffic into more signups and sales.
What do I mean CORRECTLY
A. Use a Dedicated Gmail Account for Safelists
The biggest reason for people quitting safelists early is that they get overwhelmed by the number of emails they receive. You should not use your primary email address for safelists. You need an email address just for safelist use. That way, you can log into that email when you need to earn credits and it keeps your primary email address free for other uses.
Another option is to use your primary address but set up filters for all safelist emails. That is what I do (Learn more about Gmail Filters Here)
It MUST be a Gmail address, not a Yahoo or Hotmail address, or even worse … from your internet service provider (ISP).
There are two reasons for that.
First, most email service providers will categorize a lot of safelist email as spam, so you will never see those emails. Some, like Hotmail, Outlook, or Live.com will block it altogether, so it doesn’t even make it to your spam folder. Most ISP email programs will block all mail from the safelists. You cannot earn credits from emails you never receive. This blocking will also cause your accounts at the safelist to be put on hold or deleted.
Second, Gmail has great features that will allow you to automatically put your email into folders from the different safelists. This allows you to be much more efficient and get more done in less time.

B. Be Consistent – Don’t Miss Mailing Intervals
One of the keys to success with safelists is to keep using them consistently. If you post a couple of ads and then think the signups and sales will start flowing in, then you will be disappointed. Those who are successful post EVERY DAY.
The strategy I suggest you use is to make sure that you schedule time to work on your safelist marketing daily. Some will be able to spend hours and others might just have 15-30 minutes. Whatever time you have, make sure that you break your work time into two different types of work … sending and earning.
The first thing you need to do each day is to send from every safelist that will let you mail today. Sending emails is more important than earning credits, so make sure you send first. As you are sending emails, make a note of which safelists you are low on credits at. If you cannot send because you don’t have enough credits, add them to the Earning List.
After you have sent from everywhere you can, then use the Earning List to show you which sites you need to earn credits from. You made this list while sending and it has the sites you couldn’t mail from because of low credits. If you earn more credits, then you will be able to email each of them tomorrow.
The ideal goal would be to mail every time you are allowed to the maximum number of members you are allowed to send to. Most sites will limit how often you can send and many will limit how many you can email. Maximize what each site allows.
C. Track Your Results and Adjust
With safelists, you are trading your time for traffic instead of your money. That means you need to make sure you aren’t wasting hours at sites that are not getting results. To know the difference, you need to track your traffic and signups. You need to know how much traffic each safelist is sending to your pages and how many signups you received from each safelist’s traffic.
Going over all the ways to track this are beyond the time we have today, but this is something you need to figure out or get help with.
If you know what sites are getting you the best Return On Time Spent, then those are the sites you want to email from FIRST each day. If there are sites where you are spending time but not getting any results, then you want to stop using those safelists and put that time into better quality sites.
Spending time doing things that are not getting results is the fastest way to the “poor house”.
These three top tips are the basic level you need to start at to have success with safelists. If you are not already doing all three of these things, then fix this first before doing anything else.
